A Big Thank You To Our Delegates…..   5 comments

I would like to say a quick thank you to everyone who helped make the First National Conference for Men and Boys a huge success. The day was packed with powerful conversations, each one with the potential to spark another conference in its own right.

Special thanks goes to the team of volunteers who worked flat out all day long to make the event happen and to the 50 or so experts who travelled from all over the UK to debate, discuss, present and share their experience and ideas on improving the lives of men and boys in the UK.

For those who asked for a delegate list, please click here now for a list of people who registered (though not all were present on the day).

It was a very proud day for everyone at The Men’s Network, we were honoured to have spent the day in your company and encouraged by your support for the idea of developing some form of National Network for Men and Boys. It’s a great vision that puts me in mind of one of my favourite quotes from Joel Barker:

“Vision without action is merely a dream, action without vision just passes the time, vision with action can change the world”.

My promise to each and everyone of you is that we will take action to build on that vision of a National Network for Men and Boys in the UK over the next 12 months and create a space for us all to come together again next year for The Second National Conference for Men and Boys.

Best Regards

Glen

  1. It was great, thank you for all the organisation and the opportunity to take part and meet so many committed people.

Best wishes to all – apply for funding, let those charged with deciding work out the priorities.
