THE DEMONISING OF BOYS/MEN NEEDS TO STOP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi its Mark from Fathers Reaching Out, I would like to thank you for letting know about this much needed event..If you need someone to do a talk or some sort of workshop, on men/carers of Postnatal Depression please let me know.As we know while the partner is getting treatment for the illness, the man has to deal with the partners illness, his work, the bills, the housework, the things the partner did for the family,THE NEWBORN BABY,other children and most important the isolation of mental health..All this in such a short space of time can cause the man to become ill himself. Also families split and then has a massive knock on effect…I am trying to get awareness out there as well as support and information about the man needs to be throught of and needs the support like i would have wanted 7 years ago.
Take Care Mark Fathers Reaching Out
Great stuff mark we’ll be in touch

I notice that the emphasis is all on men doing something to change while there is nothing at all about women and their responsibilities to treat men with fairness. The flip side of all these workshops and discussions is that everything is men’s fault. Sorry, but I don’t see it that way. What I see is a campaign of hatred has been launched against men and boys and it is supported by government. In fact, the only men and boys not subjected to the hate campaign are those who are willing to become the feminist model of the ‘new man.’ The conference organisers seem to have missed these matters entirely or they are unwilling to discuss them. This makes me wonder what the true agenda of this conference really is. Is it a men’s conference or just another feminist ‘new men’s’ conference masquerading as something to do with the men’s movement? I shall not be attending to find out. I shall wait to see what happens when those who do attend have had time to reflect on what they heard and saw. I have a feeling I know what those reflections shall contain but I shall wait and see.
Hi George
I will be attending. I am a neutral attendee, but impressed with Glen’s organisational ability. If it helps, I am with you totally on the need for a change in attitude from feminist fanatics and the government. I have been astonished at the eagerness with which the government has demonised its’ male citizens and holds them to account on baseless charges. I will be presenting there on how finances and resources are not being used for men – public finances! I am not sure anyone is saying it is men’s fault – but we do need to organise OURSELVES and make sure we have representation. I will be objectively looking at the conference, but I have high hopes. I agree we need to stick up for ourselves. Can I suggest that you take a look at the organisation – Parity – just key in Parity – Equal Rights to the internet the link is here anyway http://www.parity-uk.org/ I really liked your outlook, we need to get the man-bashers to SHUT UP. E-mail if you have anything you want me to do whilst I am there, all the best, Peter L.

Could I urge you to remind Participants of the 2nd stage of consultation on the EHRC strategy. It would be so good if the individuals and groups all responded to show the EHRC that there is a vibrant sector. http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/about-us/vision-and-mission/about-us/vision-and-mission/our-strategic-plan/consultation-on-our-strategic-plan/
Thanks Nigel – if you can remind us of this after the conference we can circulate something to delegates inviting them to respond – Glen

I applaud your efforts guys. One huge obstacle will be to overcome the ‘rugged individualism’ instinct in men – this I believe is part of the reason why up till now ‘Mens groups’ are few and far between, to seek support is often experienced as a sense of weakness in men and shunned at all costs.
Creative thinking will be needed to navigate this inherent characteristic.
Bravo.
Do you have a news letter?
Hi Jim we have four mailing lists – national, local news, fundraising events news and local dads – I’ll put you on the national list, if you want to go on the others too let us know – best Glen
Really good point Jim – we’ve observed and that this has been a barrier in the past and see it as a potential strength if we can create collective spaces where we unite around shared vision and common objectives and support the men who want to take a ruggedly individualistic approach to do so and help them do this in a way that serves the common good and moves us all towards common objectives

Dear Glen Poole.
I am eager to attend at the conference in November, because I am so very impressed with the work you are doing with young men and also many fathers. I would like to say something here about the rights of fathers and how many of them are not receiving much or fair justice in the Family courts of our land, indeed I am one of them. There are many that put forward the gender issue here and yes I have noticed a trend of late towards anti male sentiment and severe negative comments on many blogs such as Mumsnet, etc, I think this is a shame. However, I feel that if many men and fathers are not careful they may fall into the very trap set by these feminazi extremists, and that is returning hate for hate. I feel men and fathers should rise above such vitriol spoken by some women and maintain the high ground in a respectful manner. Even though I feel that many fathers are indeed getting a rough deal in accessing their own children, while battling in the family courts, it is important that that fathers concentrate on the real issues at hand, and that is the present law and how to change it. To make these matters an issue of gender and to blame mothers and women would be a fatal mistake. I am wanting to attend the conference and if possibe give a talk on the issues mentioned here and to relate my own experiences to those that may be having problems in this regard. I can assure you this will be done without denegrading mothers, even though I am aware that they seem to have more rights than fathers do. For me the issue is not one of gender, but is certainly one of equal rights and how we should be trying to obtain them for all, no matter what the sex. Would it be possibe to give a talk at the conference as I have requested on this subject?
Yours sincerely. Paul Manning. (Blog: “Abba Father”)
