Could You Be A Warrior Of The Heart?

Do you want to learn how to become a Warrior Of The Heart?

Francis Briers, one of our city’s great male role models, has a few places left on his Warrior Of The Heart workshop this weekend.

Francis is an Inter Faith minister,  black belt martial artist, Founder of Fudoshin Development and a male mentor in Brighton & Hove with the excellent abandofbrothers.

Here’s what Francis has to say about the workshop:

“The Warriors of the Heart programs grew out of a desire to reclaim the Warrior archetype as a positive symbol of our capacity for Loving action.

“The Warrior is too often seen as a macho fighter getting the job done but leaving destruction in his wake. We want to choose instead to embody the Warrior as a vessel for courage, dignity, and fierce compassion.

“This will be an opportunity to explore the warrior path, and get an introduction to the philosophy of the Warrior of the Heart. We will look at how to be more powerfully active and responsive in the world through creative work, reflective process and embodied practices based on traditional Martial arts.

“These practices give an arena for self-reflection and deep personal learning while also being easy to integrate into your day-to-day life and routine. In this way it is truly a modern Warrior training, helping you apply the deep wisdom of the Warrior path directly in your life.

“This is not about learning to defeat imagined attackers in single combat in dark alley-ways; this is about having real tools to do the tough work of facing both the dark alleyways and bright avenues in your soul.”

The workshop will be held at the beautiful Tin Tabernacle near Lewes and costs £50 for the day.
