Hi Glen,
Please provide me with an email address so that I can contact you regarding your possible involvement with the National Men’s Health Gathering in Australia.
Cheers,

Hello,
Anyone here have crash space for Monday evening?
I’m travelling to Brighton from Devon to be at the conference Tuesday.
I could isolate away in a B&B but would be nice to meet some of you local folk and find out some of what’s going on in the area.
my name’s Jon…I’m with the Journeyman UK posse heading over from Bristol.
If you have room at your inn I’d love to hear from you
joneh@hotmail.com
Thanks
Jon
It could be useful to contact Professor Alan Whyte at Leeds Metropolitan University, lead Author of a special report on European Men’s Health, recently published by the European Commission. It deals with mens health country by country, goes into great detail and could be very helpful in providing your campaign with scientifically proven facts if you need them. Also makes an interesting point about the life expectancy of the Male . v. Female!
Well worth a read! Be warned this is not a short report!
Thanks for that recommendation Tom
Hello
Just making contact from a Separated Dads Support Group in NZ
Welcome Ken great to hear from you
Hi, would like to draw your attention to:
The first issue of: New Male Studies: An International Journal
NMS is an open access online journal publication, providing a much needed new forum for thinking intelligently about what it means to be male.
It has been sponsored by the Australian Institute of Male Health and Studies, which is committed to interdisciplinary scholarship in the pursuit of enhanced health and well-being for men and boys.
For a list of articles and additional information click the NMS logo to go straight to the journal.
NMS is supported by a significant and growing number of internationally distinguished scholars, whose interest and commitment will not only ensure the future of the journal, but also the emergence of Male Studies as a much needed new discipline; a discipline free of the constraints of the pseudo-intellectual gender ideology that has for decades, so thwarted intelligent discussion of gender, human relations and behaviour. See: http://newmalestudies.com/OJS/index.php/nmshttp://
To make contact with the Australian Institute of Male Health and Studies (www.aimhs.com.au) email: info@aimhs.com.au
Sure both the NMS journal and AIMHS will be valuable contacts and resources for your organisation and those other organisations in your network.
Domestic Violence is in the news again, in the form of ‘Clare’s law’. Her father has been to number 10 downing Street pushing for legislation to be put on the statute books. It is important that men do not loose-out in this. It is vital for men to have the same rights in law and be able to make police checks on any woman he is dating. i say this because we seem to have a two tier justice system as it is with women getting much lighter sentences compared to male offenders.
Hi, I have started a new blog and would be obliged if you would consider linking to me.
My blog is about bipolar disorder (which i suffer from) and other depressive conditions. i encourage others to share their own experiences on the blog pages.
the blog is at http://www.depressingstate.ramblingally.com
i have linked to you on the resources page, as i think your site is a good addition to my own.
Thank you in advance.
Alistair.
Hi Alistair – we only link to sites we blog about – primarly stuff related to Brighton & Hove and more generally stuff that relates directly to men and boys. Please keep us update about any developments and if you write a particular post about men and mental health in the UK for example. And we can’t share everything that people send to us (to be clear) – the best of luck with your blog I hope it is both of help to you and to others – Glen
sorry the above link should be http:\\depressingstate.ramblingally.com
Hi! Great to find this site and organisation (through a BBC story). I’m doing my PhD research into the construction of masculine identity in early English literature and society, and am hugely excited to find out about different groups around the world trying to work out what it means to be male and how that interacts with our cultures, other groups within it, our legal system, and provision of services such as health and education. Could you add me to your mailing list at scfthomson@gmail.com? Do you have a twitter feed? When I finally get my blog up and running, would you be interested in linking? Cheers.
Great to hear from you Simon – and thanks for all you comments on various posts today – not time to reply to all – but we have read them all and we’re very interested in your experience in Nigeria and look forward to meeting you at the November conference if not before. By all means keep us informed of your blog – we don’t link to any blogs (ie we don’t have a generic links page) and we do write about lots of things on our blog and link to other organisations and blogs where relevant – and we’re open to guest blogging if people have something that’s relevant to men and boys to say
Great to hear from you – best – Glen
